This is a fantastic role In an idyllic rural setting only 20 minutes from the centre of Manchester.
  
Family Description and Location
 
An informal professional British couple are looking for a dynamic Gardener and Housekeeping couple to join their team.   Their head gardener and Housekeeper are resigning after some time and they are looking for a long term replacement. There is no cooking with this role and no pets at present. They live in a large 4-bedroom modern contemporary home without antiques and clutter but many specialists’ surfaces. There is also a 2-bedroom guest bungalow.   They have a long-standing team which consists of a driver/chauffeur/handyman who looks after a fleet of cars, pressure washing patios and the outdoor areas, etc, a part time groundsman who deals specifically with the lawns and various contract staff who deal with the swimming pools and tennis court etc. There is also the family PA & accountant who also work on site. The couple own several other homes and travel extensively as have 3 grown up children that visit. The house is located at the foot of the Pennines in Rochdale. They are located close to a village called Littleborough that is 1 mile from a tram stop which will take you into Manchester in 20 minutes, they are 40 minutes from Manchester international airport and only 30 minutes from Leeds.

 
Job Description

 The clients are looking for their home and garden to be presented to a 6 star standard.
 

• Housekeeping to a high standard with daily hoovering and cleaning of the main areas of the house.
• Bi-weekly linen changes
• Laundry and wardrobe management
• Care of fine fabric and hand washing including cashmere
• Care of specialist surfaces such as wood, marble and granite
• Packing and unpacking for one of the principles.
• Deep cleaning when client travels
• Care of a 6-acre garden (2 acres are paddocks for 2 miniature donkeys and a football pitch and tennis court that are dealt with by outdoor contractors)
• Dealing with flower beds, weeding, trimming, strimming etc
• Care of garden machinery
• Some driving or other errands as required.

Candidate Requirements

It is essential that you are an experience domestic couple that have worked in a similar setting with excellent checkable references. One of you must have a driving licence and be an experience gardener. 
 
Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary
 

• Monday – Friday
• 8am – 4pm
• No work weekend or bank holidays
• Detached house on the edge of the grounds 2 bedroom (or 1 bedroom and an office)
• pets will be considered on a case by case basis but not suitable for dependents
• All bills paid for and car for use on duty
• Will wait for the right couple to work up to 3 months’ notice but can start immediately.
• £75-£85 negotiable dependent on skillset and references.
