Knightsbridge - Ad hoc Caretaker/Housekeeper for overseas Family - £20-£25 per hour-  £400 per month guaranteed with additional earning when family are in London
 
Family Description and Location
 
A wonderful international couple with 3 college age / adult children, who own a luxury apartment near Hyde Park Corner (Knightsbridge or Hyde Park Corner Tube station) need a reliable housekeeper to look after their 4 bedroom apartment.   They are arriving in London at the end of March into a brand new home furnished to the highest standards with high end art work but no antiques or silver to polish. They do not entertain often and there will be no cooking with this role. It is purely caretaking, housekeeping and laundry.  They will guarantee you 4 hours a week (12 hours a month) that will increase when the family are in situ based on your availability and their needs.  There may be times where all 5 family members are present and other times where it may only be 1 or 2 family members so the needs when they are in town could fluctuate. 
 
Job Description

• Prepare apartment prior arrival.
• Housekeeping whilst family is in situ.  This may or may not be daily depending on number of family members present and length of stay and would be arranged in advance.
• Deep clean upon family's departure and close the apartment down.
• Laundry services while family is there.  This will require high-end clothing care.  As of now, family does not send items to the drycleaner, all cleaning is done in-house. 
• Ironing to a high standard
• Wardrobe management and packing and unpacking suitcases.
• Cleaning and care for high-end linens and bedding.
• Maintain the apartment while family is not there. 
• This would involve periodically stopping by to clean any buildup, run taps, test lightbulbs, etc.
• Supervise contractors as needed.
• Fill refrigerator prior to family's arrival with food and water.  List will be provided in advance.
• Take out rubbish and recycling.
• Maintain contact with Estate Manager in Chicago regarding schedule.
• There are no cooking requirements

Candidate Requirements
 
It is essential that you are an experienced and reliable housekeeper that is able to work unsupervised and keep contact with the client’s PA abroad over what’s app and email to monitor the client’s schedule and make sure the house is ready for arrival.  Good checkable references and have worked in a high-end apartment or house and have excellent laundry skills. You must also have availability to give more hours when the client is in residence but it is understood that you will have other employment.
 
 Days of Work and Salary
 

• 4 hours per week on a day chosen by you and the PA
• Confirmation of how many hours you would be able to give to the client when they are in residence.
• £20-£25 gross per hour dependent on skill set and experience
• You will be employed on a self-employed basis and will be responsible for paying your own Tax and NI
• Immediate start – trials will commence week commencing 25th March 2024
