Sloane Square - Tagalog-Speaking Housekeeper | Mon to Fri | 9:30am – 5:30pm (40 hrs/week)

Family Description and Location
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a highly professional Tagalog-speaking Housekeeper to join a long-established private household in the heart of Sloane Square, London. This is a full-time, long-term position within a beautifully maintained London townhouse arranged over several floors with a small paved garden. The family are happy to consider either a live-in or live-out Housekeeper and are looking for a proactive individual who enjoys taking pride in maintaining a home to an exceptionally high standard and who is looking to become a valued member of the household for many years to come. A friendly spaniel forms an important part of the household and has a dedicated weekday dog walker. However, the successful candidate will be required to take the dog for a gentle early evening walk when required. The family would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have previous experience working within Chinese or Hong Kong households, although this is not essential for an exceptional candidate.

Job Description
The successful Housekeeper will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the home, including:

• Full housekeeping to an exceptionally high standard 
• Daily cleaning and organisation throughout the property 
• Laundry, garment care and light ironing 
• Wardrobe management and organisation 
• Packing and unpacking suitcases 
• Changing bed linen and preparing guest bedrooms 
• Maintaining household supplies and consumables 
• Ordering groceries via Ocado 
• Running occasional errands to Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and other local shops 
• Preparing simple meals and assisting with Asian cooking where appropriate 
• Taking the family dog for a gentle early evening walk when required 
• Liaising with tradespeople and contractors when required 
• Working alongside the family's part-time ironing assistant to ensure the household runs efficiently 
• Assisting with occasional table service or light evening duties when required 

 
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:

• Be a fluent Tagalog speaker 
• Have a minimum of 3–5 years' recent experience working within a private household 
• Have excellent housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management skills 
• Be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail 
• Be discreet, trustworthy and loyal 
• Be proactive and able to work using their own initiative 
• Be physically fit and comfortable working in a multi-level townhouse with stairs 
• Be dog friendly 
• Ideally have previous experience working within a Chinese or Hong Kong household 
• Have an interest in or knowledge of Asian cooking (advantageous but not essential) 
• Hold excellent, checkable references 
• Have the legal right to work in the UK 

 
Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary

• Monday to Friday
• 9:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week) 
• Live-In or Live-Out
• Flexibility is appreciated. Whilst the normal contracted hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm, the family occasionally require the successful candidate to adjust their working hours to suit the household's needs. This may include taking a longer break during the day and working later in the evening to assist with serving dinner or other household duties. Any additional hours worked will be paid as overtime or taken as time off in lieu, by mutual agreement. 
• Start Date: Immediate, although the family are happy to wait for the right person. 
• Salary: £50,000–£55,000 gross per annum, negotiable depending on experience and whether the position is live-in or live-out. 
• Long-term permanent position. 
• For a live-in candidate, excellent accommodation is provided comprising a private bedroom and private bathroom within the house.
