Part time Housekeeper for British Family – 2 days per week – 8 hours per day. £20-£25 gross

Family Description and Location:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced part time housekeeper to come and work for a lovely informal British couple. They have two adult children who study away from home and no pets.  The family travel a lot and don’t often entertain. They live in a modern and well-maintained house with high end finishes decorated to a high standard. They live in a private and secure gated community less than a 15-minute walk from Oxshott Station which has a 26 minute direct train to Clapham Junction.

Job Description:

You will be the sole housekeeper and keep and present the house to a hight standard.  You will need do all the housekeeping, deal with all washing, ironing, laundry, folding and sorting as well as hand washing and care of delicate fabrics.  The house has lots of specialist finishes and surfaces such as marble, wood and metals.  There is no cooking or pet care with this role.

Candidate Requirements:

It is essential that you have worked at a high level in a large household and be happy to work alone.  You will need to have good checkable references and have some technical knowledge to deal with some systems in the house.

Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary:

• 2 days per week – Not consecutive days.
• 8am – 4pm
• £20-£25 per hour gross (self employed or PAYE to be discussed)
• Start date: As soon as possible, but the family will wait for the right person.
