Live-in Head Housekeeper 5 days per week – £750 net pw / approx. £50,000 gross per annum
Family Description & LocationA large Middle Eastern family, mainly based abroad, are seeking an experienced Head Housekeeper to join their well-established team in Mayfair, London. The household is fully staffed with two daily housekeepers and a Private PA/House Manager. When the family are in residence, additional staff such as chefs are brought in. There are no pets, and the role does not require travel.

Job Description
The Head Housekeeper will work closely with the household team to maintain the residence to an impeccable standard, ensuring smooth daily operations when the family are in residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and deliver daily housekeeping to the highest standard
- Laundry and wardrobe management, including care of fine garments
- Running household errands as required
- Serving snacks and drinks when the family are in residence
- Greeting contractors and overseeing access to the property
- Supporting the wider household team as needed
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working in HNW or UHNW private family households
- Proven ability to work within a team of household staff
- Excellent attention to detail, discreet, and highly professional
- Strong references and long-term commitment
Days of Work, Accommodation & Salary
- 5 days on, 2 days off (weekends on a rota depending on when the family are in residence)
- Approx. 50-hour week (7am–7pm with a 2-hour daily break; hours may adjust when family are in residence)
- Overtime worked when the family are visiting may be taken as time off in lieu when they travel
- Accommodation: self-contained staff quarters in the basement, separate from the family, with natural light, private bedroom and bathroom, and shared sitting room and kitchen
- Salary: £750 net per week (approx. £50,000 gross per annum) with full contract, Tax and NI
- 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays (can be taken in one block)
- Immediate start available, but the family will wait for the right person
