Job description
The Morning Housekeeper will be responsible for supporting the morning routine and maintaining the house to a high standard.
Duties will include:
- Clearing and tidying after breakfast
- Preparing simple breakfasts when required
- Ensuring school bags, sports kits and water bottles are organised
- General cleaning including vacuuming, dusting, mopping and bathroom cleaning
- Making beds and changing bed linen
- Maintaining kitchens, utility rooms and living areas
- Care of marble, brass and delicate furnishings
- Laundry and ironing
- Handwashing and care of cashmere, silk and other fine garments
- Wardrobe organisation and upkeep
- Managing dry cleaning when required
- Keeping fridges clean and organised
- Monitoring household supplies
- Light sweeping and tidying of outdoor areas
- Watering plants when required
- Walking the family’s four dogs
- Feeding the dogs and ensuring fresh water is available
- Keeping dog areas clean and organised
Occasional flexibility may be required, including travel to the family’s other residences, house or pet sitting and occasional overnight stays.
Candidate requirements
- Previous professional housekeeping experience within a private household
- Excellent cleaning and laundry skills
- Confident caring for high-quality clothing and delicate fabrics
- Organised, proactive and able to work independently
- Comfortable working alongside other household staff
- Genuinely comfortable with dogs
- Reliable and able to work efficiently during a busy morning routine
- Good communication skills
- Tagalog/Filipino speaking
This is a live-out position, so candidates must be able to commute reliably to Ladbroke Grove for the early morning start.
Days of work and salary
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am–12:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am–1:00pm
- 35 hours per week
- £20–£24 gross per hour, depending on experience
