Family Description and Location

A warm and welcoming Anglo-American family is looking for an experienced and highly professional Daily Housekeeper to take primary responsibility for the care and presentation of their beautiful family home in Covent Garden.

The family moved to London from Hong Kong at the end of Covid and have three children aged 11, 9 and 6. Mum and Dad are both very involved in family life, including school runs, homework and preparing family dinners.

The property is a high-end four-bedroom en-suite duplex/lateral home with a roof terrace and separate apartment. The family also have two small dogs.

The family travel during the school holidays, including Christmas, Easter and the summer, and may be away for up to approximately two months in total throughout the year.

Job Description

• This is a high-end housekeeping position with primary responsibility for the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of the home. Duties will include:
• Full housekeeping, regular deep cleaning and detailed cleaning to an excellent standard.
• Family laundry and ironing, and changing and caring for bed linen and towels.
• Wardrobe management and organising cupboards, drawers and storage areas.
• Care of high-quality furnishings, clothing and household belongings.
• Keeping bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen and living areas beautifully presented.
• Monitoring household products and supplies, receiving deliveries and assisting with household errands.
• Liaising with the Afternoon Housekeeper/Family Assistant to ensure continuity throughout the day.
• Assisting with the family’s two small dogs as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong previous housekeeping experience within a high-end private household.
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills, including care of high-quality furnishings and clothing.
• Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home.
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage the working day independently.
• An understanding of the standards and discretion expected within a private household.
• A warm, child-friendly manner and an understanding that this is a housekeeping position.
• Dog-friendly and comfortable assisting with two small dogs.
• Ability to work well alongside another Housekeeper/Family Assistant.
• Reliable, discreet, flexible and professional, with the right to work in the UK.

Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary

• Monday to Friday
• Working hours will be approximately 8.00/9.00am to 4.00/5.00pm, with the precise daily schedule agreed with the family.
• This is a live-out position.
• Salary: £50,000–£55,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
