Job Description:
This is a varied and rewarding role combining kitchen management, cooking, and general household support. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 11am–8pm, and a valid driving licence is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a clean, organised kitchen and pantry
- Shop for fresh, high-quality ingredients (existing suppliers in place)
- Plan menus and prepare daily family dinners, with a focus on healthy Mediterranean and Asian cuisine
- Provide snacks, light meals, and occasional baking (bread, treats for children)
- Assist with housekeeping support when needed (cleaning, laundry, errands)
- Run occasional household errands and receive deliveries
- Support family routines at busy times (school runs, homework, bedtime)
- Share light childcare and dog-walking duties when required
- Provide cover during the Housekeeper’s absence or holidays
- Occasionally assist with babysitting or evening routines (by arrangement)
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be professional, discreet, and highly organised, with a passion for healthy cooking and a flexible, positive approach.
Essential:
- Previous experience in private households
- Strong cooking ability, adaptable to family and children’s tastes
- Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive attitude
- Able to work well within a small household team
- Excellent references and DBS check (to be completed)
- Non-smoker, eligible to work in the UK
- Driver with clean licence
Days of Work and Salary:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11am–8pm (with flexibility as needed)
- Salary: £50,000–£60,000 DOE
- Contract: Permanent, full employment with holiday entitlement and benefits
- Start Date: Immediate (willing to wait for the right candidate)
- Location: Chelsea, SW3 (onsite parking provided)
