Family Description & Location
A warm and welcoming professional family of four are seeking an experienced, proactive and child-friendly Housekeeper/Cook to join their household on a long-term basis in Clapham Common, South West London. The family consists of two professional parents who primarily work from home, together with their daughter aged 3½, their son aged 18 months and a friendly Labrador. The children attend nursery and school during the week, making this predominantly a housekeeping and family cooking role, with childcare support required after school, during school holidays and on Saturdays.
The family live in a well-presented three-level semi-detached home and are looking for someone who can become a valued and trusted part of their household for many years to come.
The family are open to applicants of all nationalities who have the legal right to work in the UK.

Job Description
• Full housekeeping duties throughout the family home
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the property
• Deep cleaning tasks on a rotational basis including cupboard organisation, brass and silver polishing, and fridge and freezer cleaning
• Preparing simple, healthy lunches and varied family dinners
• Following recipes and meal plans provided by the family where required
• Managing household supplies and grocery shopping as required
• Assisting with nursery and school routines when required
• Providing after-school childcare support
• Sole charge care of the children during school holidays when required
• Sole charge care of both children on Saturdays when the parents require full-day childcare support
• Preparing children's meals, snacks and packed lunches
• Organising age-appropriate activities and outings
• Occasional babysitting by prior arrangement
• Occasional dog care including walks and assisting with vet or grooming appointments if required
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household
• Accompanying the family on occasional UK and international travel during school holidays, approximately four weeks per year

Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience working within a private household in a similar role
• Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident family cook able to prepare simple, healthy and varied meals
• Previous childcare experience and confident caring for young children
• Organised, proactive and capable of working independently
• Excellent attention to detail and able to identify tasks without supervision
• Comfortable around dogs
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Updated Paediatric First Aid certificate preferred
• Full driving licence preferred but not essential
• Professional, reliable and looking for a long-term role
