A lovely single lady living in St John’s Wood is looking for an experienced Filipino-speaking Daily Morning Housekeeper to join her home on a fixed-term basis while her long-standing Housekeeper takes an extended period of leave to the Philippines.
The principal lives alone in a three-storey house very close to St John’s Wood Station and has a small dog, so candidates must be comfortable around dogs.
The successful candidate will ideally start between mid-September and October 2026 and will work through until February 2027. There will be an opportunity to work alongside and shadow the existing Housekeeper before she leaves, allowing for a thorough handover.

Job Description
The role is to maintain the property to a high standard and will include:
- General housekeeping and cleaning throughout the home
- Hoovering, dusting and maintaining all rooms
- Changing bed linen and general laundry duties
- Keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
- Taking deliveries, including the principal’s online food shopping, and unpacking groceries
- Occasional errands to the local high street, such as collecting dry cleaning or visiting the pharmacy
- Looking after the home and ensuring everything continues to run smoothly during the permanent Housekeeper’s absence
The principal is a keen cook, so no cooking is required.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates must be Filipino speaking and have a minimum of 3–5 years’ recent private household experience with good checkable references.
You should be reliable, cheerful, organised and confident working independently in a private home. You must also be dog friendly and happy to work alongside the existing Housekeeper during the initial handover period.
