Family Description & Location:

  • A warm and welcoming family of three (a couple and their 5-year-old child) based in Ealing, London (W5) are seeking a reliable and long-term Housekeeper/Cook to support the smooth running of their home.
  • The family live in a 4-bedroom house arranged over three levels, close to excellent transport links including Hanger Lane (Central Line) and Ealing Broadway.
  • There are no pets in the household

Job Description:

  • This is a hands-on role for an organised, trustworthy, and proactive housekeeper who enjoys maintaining a family home to a high standard and preparing simple, healthy meals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily/weekly cleaning to a high standard across all three floors
  • Laundry, ironing, wardrobe care and general household organisation
  • Family meal preparation – typical home-style cooking for two adults and one child. Family Favourites include Fish (crumbed for the little one), Chinese (Noodles, Fried Rice), Soups, and Indian (Flatbreads/Rotis)
  • Keeping the kitchen tidy and stocked; light fridge and pantry organisation
  • Changing beds and managing household linen
  • Occasional errands (e.g., top-up shopping, dry cleaning) if required
  • Working independently with initiative and reliability, someone who can manage the household with very little supervision
  • Becoming a steady and long-term part of the household

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous private household housekeeping experience
  • Confident home cook with the ability to prepare family-style meals
  • Reliable, discreet, organised and child-friendly
  • Good English and strong communication
  • Someone seeking a long-term position and consistency
  • Excellent references
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently

Days of Work, Hours & Salary:

  • 15 hours per week (spread over 3 or 4 days – flexible to suit both parties)
