Basingstoke – Tagalog-Speaking Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny – 4 Days – £40K

Family Description and Location
A lovely young British family based in the countryside, approximately 15 minutes from both Basingstoke and Newbury stations, is looking for an experienced and reliable Tagalog-speaking Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny to join their household on a four-day working week. Basingstoke offers a direct train service to London Waterloo in approximately one hour, while Newbury provides a direct train service into London Paddington, giving the candidate two convenient options for travelling into London on their days off. The family lives in a country house and has two children aged 6 and 2 years old. Mum works from home. The successful candidate will arrive on Sunday evening from 7:30pm, work Monday to Thursday, and leave on Thursday evening for the 7:30pm train. The family will collect the candidate from the station on Sunday evening and take them back to the station on Thursday. Weekly train travel to and from London will be paid by the family.

Job Description
The role will involve a combination of housekeeping, household organisation and assistance with the children.

Duties will include:

• Full housekeeping and maintaining the family home to a high standard
• Cleaning and tidying
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing beds and managing household linen
• Keeping bedrooms and living areas organised
• General household organisation
• Helping with the children as required
• Keeping the children's bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
• Preparing simple, healthy family-style meals for the children
• Occasional evening babysitting by prior arrangement
• Assisting Mum with the smooth running of the household
• Being proactive and noticing what needs to be done

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:

• A Tagalog speaker
• Experienced working in a private household
• Experienced and confident with young children
• A competent housekeeper with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable preparing basic meals for children
• Reliable, trustworthy and discreet
• Warm and family-friendly
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Happy working alongside a parent who works from home
• Flexible to assist with occasional babysitting when agreed in advance

Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am–7:00pm, with a 2-hour break during the day.
The candidate will arrive from 7:30pm on Sunday evening and leave on Thursday evening for the 7:30pm train.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are completely off.
Occasional evening babysitting may be required by prior arrangement.

Salary
