What is a Housekeeper Cook?
A Housekeeper Cook can be live-in or live-out. A Housekeeper Cook may still be expected to carry out all the usual housekeeping duties as well as produce food for the family on a daily basis. Housekeeper Cooks are usually not formally trained but have lots of experience creating family style food sometime up to dinner party standard.
A Housekeeper Cook would be well organised, happy to undertake a wide variety of duties including:
- Housekeeping, cleaning and keeping the house well presented
- Laundry and ironing
- Knowledge of how to care for fine fabric and high-end furnishings
- Being able to cook more than simple family food and in some cases to small dinner party standards
- Ability to set the table for a dinner party
- Greet and serve guests
- Walk the dog!
We have requests for a Housekeeper Cooks from all types of households, from help for an informal home, to assistance in a fully staffed formal household, and through to country estates, and even jobs to work overseas or travel with their employers.
How Do I Find A Housekeeper / Cook
We recruit our candidates, who come from all over the world, very carefully. All candidates are interviewed thoroughly, and must have at a minimum of at least three years’ experience with suitable references that can be checked. Together with the knowledge of how to work in a house that is presented and run to the highest standards, whether you are a formal or informal household and regardless of where you are located.
