Live-Out Housekeeper (Japanese, Mandarin or Cantonese Speaking) – Hampstead, London £25–£28 Gross

A professional couple based in Hampstead are seeking an experienced, discreet, and proactive live-out housekeeper to support the smooth running of their home. The successful candidate will initially be based at the couple's Hampstead apartment, with the understanding that the role will transition with them when they relocate to St John's Wood in the coming months.
 
This position would suit an individual with previous private household experience who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home, enjoys cooking simple meals, and is happy to provide thoughtful support to the principals. The couple are open to considering candidates seeking either a 3-day or 5-day working week, offering flexibility for the right person.
 
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
 

• Hands-on housekeeping to a high standard 
• Cleaning and maintaining the presentation of the apartment 
• Laundry and ironing 
• Changing bed linen and caring for delicate fabrics 
• Organising wardrobes, cupboards, and household storage areas 
• Monitoring and replenishing household supplies 
• Simple meal preparation and cooking for the principals 
• Serving dinner and clearing away afterwards 
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and well organised 
• Running occasional local errands if required 
• Providing general household support to ensure the home runs smoothly and efficiently 

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a private household 
• Fluency in Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills 
• Confident preparing simple, healthy meals and family-style dishes 
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy 
• Warm, personable, and service-oriented 
• Well organised with excellent attention to detail 
• Able to work independently and use initiative 
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude 
• Excellent checkable references 
• The right to work in the UK 

Days of Work, Hours and Salary:

• Live-out position 
• Initially based in Hampstead, London, with the role relocating to St John's Wood in approximately 2–3 months 
• Working hours: 3:00pm – 8:00pm
• Either 3 days per week or up to 5 days per week, depending on the successful candidate and the couple's requirements 
• Salary: £25–£28 gross per hour, depending on experience and suitability 
• Flexible start date
