A professional and friendly couple based in a well-maintained three-level home in Highgate are seeking an experienced and reliable Part-Time Housekeeper to join them on a long-term basis.
The household is primarily for the two principals, with their adult daughters (in their 20s) returning home occasionally. The family also have one Labrador and one young Retriever (7.5 months old), so a dog-friendly candidate is essential.
The principals have a mix of working from home and being out of the house during the week, and are looking for someone who can take full responsibility for the smooth running of the housekeeping during the afternoons.
Job Description
This is a straightforward and hands-on housekeeping role where you will be responsible for maintaining the home to a high standard.
Duties will include:
• Full housekeeping including cleaning, tidying and maintaining all areas of the home
• Laundry and ironing, including bed linen and general household items
• Changing bed sheets
• Cleaning and organising the fridge and kitchen areas
• General household organisation and upkeep
• Occasional feeding of the dogs when required (typically in the late afternoon when they return from the dog walkers)
• Ensuring the home is left clean, tidy and well-presented at the end of each day
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive and comfortable working independently.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ private household housekeeping experience
• Strong laundry and ironing skills are essential
• Comfortable working in a multi-level home
• Dog-friendly (no formal dog care required)
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
• Trustworthy, discreet and professional
