Live-in Housekeeper/Companion (Tagalog Speaking) – Chelsea – Circa £50,000 gross per annum

A professional and mature businesswoman based in Chelsea is seeking an experienced Tagalog-speaking Housekeeper to join her long-standing household team. Her current Housekeeper is retiring after 40 years of loyal service, so the client is looking for someone kind, discreet and committed who can ensure a smooth and respectful transition into the role.

The position is based within a large luxury apartment in Chelsea, within easy reach of transport links. The client travels extensively for up to 6 months of the year, offering significant downtime and flexibility when she is away.

This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper seeking a stable role within a respectful and well-run private household.

Job Description
• Full housekeeping duties to an exceptionally high standard
• Wardrobe management including care of designer clothing and delicate fabrics
• Hand washing and specialist garment care
• Packing and unpacking for frequent travel
• Preparing and serving simple meals and breakfast trays
• Meeting and greeting guests in a polished and professional manner
• Maintaining the presentation and smooth running of the apartment
• Caring for fine furniture, interiors and household items
• Taking deliveries and overseeing household parcels
• Dealing with the concierge and building management
• Working independently when the client is travelling
• Occasionally assisting alongside additional Tagalog-speaking staff when family visit from Hong Kong

Candidate Requirements
• Tagalog speaking essential
• Previous long-term experience within a private household
• Excellent housekeeping and wardrobe management skills
• Experienced caring for fine fabrics, luxury interiors and designer clothing
• Calm, discreet and highly trustworthy
• Professional presentation and good spoken English
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• Flexible attitude and happy working within a changing household schedule
• Must be comfortable working both alone and alongside other household staff

Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary
• Generally 7am start with breaks during the day, finishing after the household closes at approximately 10pm
• The client travels extensively for up to 6 months of the year
• During travel periods, the successful candidate will typically take accumulated time off and extended breaks
• Initially live-out for approximately 6 months during the handover and training period
• Accommodation will then be provided and the role will become live-in
• Salary: Circa £50,000 gross per annum
• Generous discretionary bonuses and holiday gratuities
• Immediate start preferred, although the client is happy to wait for the right long-term candidate
