Live-In Domestic Couple – Private Estate – £65,000–£75,000 + Bonus

Family Description & Location:

A private family are seeking a dedicated and experienced Domestic Couple to join a well-established team on a beautiful country estate in Staffordshire, close to the Shropshire border.
The property is a large, fully staffed residence set within extensive grounds. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a professional couple who enjoy working as part of a wider estate team and are confident managing both housekeeping and maintenance responsibilities to a high standard.
 
Job Description:
 
Housekeeper Duties
• Full housekeeping of the main residence to a high standard
• Daily cleaning of all living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms
• Deep cleaning and seasonal tasks
• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
• Organising cupboards, kitchens, and storage areas
• Basic food preparation when the family are in residence
• Packing and unpacking for travel
• Monitoring household supplies and replenishing provisions
• Changing bed linen and towels
• Supporting with pet care when required
• Occasional childcare support if needed
 
Houseman / Maintenance Duties
• General maintenance of the property (interior and exterior)
• Basic plumbing and electrical work
• Managing alarms, CCTV, and overall property security
• Care of outbuildings and external areas
• General DIY and upkeep tasks
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing works
• Vehicle care and maintenance
• Assisting with gardening duties including mowing and upkeep
• Monitoring lighting, systems, and general estate functionality
• Supporting the wider estate team as required
 
Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Domestic Couple within a private household or estate
• Strong housekeeping and maintenance skillset between the couple
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards
• Practical, hands-on, and proactive approach
• Discreet, professional, and trustworthy at all times
• Confident working within a team environment
• Full clean driving licence essential for at least one partner (ideally both)
• Flexible and adaptable, particularly when the principals are in residence
• Pet friendly
 
Days of Work, Accommodation & Salary:

• 40–50 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday with flexibility required
• Weekend working required when the family are in residence (time off in lieu provided)
• Occasional travel to other UK properties may be required
• Live-in position with self-contained accommodation provided (details at interview stage)
• Salary: £65,000–£75,000 gross per annum (combined), depending on experience
• A discretionary bonus may be introduced after 6 months, based on performance
