Family Description and Location

A busy family are looking for a friendly, experienced and proactive Gardener/all-rounder to join them on their country farm in Surrey. There is a full time Gardener that you will work alongside. You will be required to work Thursday to Monday working up to 50 hours per week. This is a relaxed yet semi-formal house hold that requires a switched-on individual who is organised and manages their time efficiently. A love of dogs is essential as pet care is part of the role as the family have 2 Labradors.

Job Description

• Gardening for a large garden, including the use of a ride on lawnmower
• Care of courtyards and surrounding areas to the main house
• Interior and exterior maintenance
• Handle DIY projects as needed
• Chauffeuring duties, as and when required
• Care of the family vehicles, to include cleaning and servicing schedules
• Pet sitting when the family travel
• Security of the property
• Helping at parties and with any heavier work
• Running local errands
• DBS check required at offer stage

Candidate requirements

• Must be a mature, responsible Gardener with previous experience in a similar role
• Highly skilled with machines, proficient in DIY, experienced with ride-on lawnmowers and large garden maintenance
• Must be helpful, organised and possess a strong work ethic, with excellent communication skills
• Confident driver with clean driving license
• Non-smoker
• Must be dog-friendly and willing to care for pets
• The family requires 5 years of contactable references

Days of Work and Salary

• You will be provided with a lovely 1-bedroom cottage (furnished/unfurnished) which is separate from the main house.
• The accommodation includes a private garden, large garage and parking
• Partners and pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Utilities are included
• £30,000 – £35,000 gross per annum
• Five days including weekends (days off: Tuesday & Wednesday), 47.5 per week (lunch break: 30 mins per day)
• Start Date: ASAP
