A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Tagalog speaking housekeeper to come and work for a lovely informal British couple. They have two teenage children at boarding school and no pets at home. The family live in a modern and well-maintained house with high end finishes decorated to a high standard. They live in a private and secure gated community less than a 15 minute walk from Oxshott Station which has a 26 minute direct train to Clapham Junction. Oxshott has a large Filipino community and lots of shops. The family travel a lot so you have to be used to managing the house alone.
Job Description
You will be the sole housekeeper and keep and present the house to a hight standard. You will need do all the housekeeping, deal with all washing, ironing, laundry, folding and sorting as well as hand washing and care of delicate fabrics. The house has lots of specialist finishes and surfaces such as marble, wood and metals. You will need to deal with maintenance personal, deliveries, recycling and anything else needed to make the house run smoothly. There is no cooking with this role.
Candidate Requirements
It is essential that you have worked at a high level in a large household and be happy to work alone. You will need to have good checkable references and have some technical knowledge to deal with some systems in the house.
Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary
- Monday – Friday
- 8am – 4pm (with clearing of the kitchen after dinner when the children are home from boarding school during the holidays)
- Occasional assistance with entertaining and guests with prior notice.
- Your accommodation is a fully furnished separate live in studio flat with kitchenette, own bathroom + shower etc. It is part of the main house but with a separate side door entrance.
- Salary is £600-£650 net per week with a negotiable package and a contract and full tax and NI paid.
