Part time Driving Nanny / Housekeeper – 3 days - £15 per hour

Family Description and Location:

A professional and busy family with three children aged 12, 10 & 4 are looking for a  friendly part time Nanny / Housekeeper. The family live in a 5 bedroom home open plan layout of reception rooms a pool house with occasionally used kitchen and bathroom. The residence is situated in Clapton in Gordano in Somerset which is on the outskirts of Bristol with good road links and the M5 motorway.
 
Job Description: 

This full-time position combines childcare responsibilities with household. The position will be split into two parts and is roughly 60% housekeeping and 40% childcare.

Childcare Duties: 

• Provide attentive and engaging care for children, including age-appropriate activities and educational support.
• Maintain children's daily routines, including meals, snacks, and activities.
• Remind children to attend to their homework and educational activities.
• Supervise playdates and activities.
• Transport children to and from school, activities, and appointments as needed.

Housekeeping Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all living areas
• Perform daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, and bathroom cleaning occasional deep cleans
• Structure and carry out regular decluttering and sorting of drawers, rooms and cupboards. The family’s PA will also be on hand to advise and supervise with this. 
• Laundry duties including washing, folding, ironing and putting away clothes
• Kitchen maintenance including dishes, countertop cleaning, and appliance care, oven cleaning, drawer cleaning and decluttering, replacing broken or damaged utensils
• Grocery shopping online and in person and maintaining household supplies. Regular replenishing of household flowers and watering indoor plants.
• Organization of playrooms and children's spaces
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the family if required.

 
Candidate Requirements:

The position requires an experienced, reliable, and energetic Nanny Housekeeper to join their household. You will need organizational skills and a genuine caring and kind character. The family are hoping to have a long-term Nanny housekeeper so suitable candidates must be willing to commit  to a 12 month plus contract. Preferably at least 1 year of combined nanny and housekeeping experience.

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record – no more than 3 points
• Own car for use when working- Petrol milage etc reimbursed.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willing to renew.
• Strong references from previous employers ( at least 5 years)
• Fit and active and able to carry household cleaning equipment/ hoover etc
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Knowledge of the local areas preferred

Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary

• 3 days a week Monday, Wednesday & Friday or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
• 7.30am- 5.30pm (timings could change
• 24 – 28hr per week with over time occasional evening or weekends (by arrangement)
• £15 per hour gross negotiable (Pro Rata £31, 200K per annum)
• PAYE with a contract and all contributions
• 28 days leave including bank holidays
• Start date: May/June but interviews and trials to commence asap.
