Family Description and Location
An international but informal couple are looking for a very experienced housekeeper (who is happy to undertake daily cooking) to come and join their team. You would be working with a morning housekeeper as well as other staff in the home. The principles live in a large penthouse apartment on 2 levels decorated to a high standard right next to Holland Park Station. There are no pets and no childcare with this role. There is 1 child that has 2 nannies that take care of all the child’s needs. The clients travel a great deal so you will be able to take weekends off mainly during school holidays but in term time you will be working throughout the weekends.
Job Description
• Housekeeping to a high standard including care of fine fabrics and specialist surfaces
• Some wardrobe management and shoe polishing etc
• Polishing Silverware
• Grocery Shopping
• Ironing and pressing
• Lay a table
• Serving refreshments
• Preparation of simple family style food such buffet style food for lunches and dinners.
• Taking deliveries
• Laying and serving at table (no silver service)
• Communicating with PA via WhatsApp/email to report any items for repair etc
• Any errands required (post office, etc)
• Laundry (mostly undertaken by the morning housekeeper)
Candidate Requirements
It is essential that you have worked to a high level in a similar household and are happy to prepare food on a daily basis. You will need to be able to work in a team environment with an established and happy team and come with a positive attitude.
Days of Work and Salary
• 5-day week with varied days off in the week (clients travel extensively and weekends will be available as well as a lot of downtime with clients are travelling.
• 40-hour week with varied start and finish times dependent on clients diary
12 – 8pm
10am – 6pm
2pm-10pm
• £55K - £60k negotiable dependent on Skill set and experience. (Full contract TAX and NI)
• Overtime will be paid at £25 per hour net.
• Immediate start but will wait for the right person.
